| Patrimonial Route Path |
ULocated in the slope of Rano Kau volcano, this route begins in the urban area, in the southwest point of Rapa Nui. You can also enter by the CONAF entry. Its length is of 3,31km.
There are nine stations through a hikking/trekking route that climb the slope of Rano Kau volcano and that finishes at the arrival to the Ceremonial Village of Orongo.
It is a rout of massive use and the terrain has an intermediate slope. The route is of the same natural floor of superimposed stones. As in the rests of the island, it has a subtropical weather and permits to be developed during the whole year.
The Te Ara or Te Ao route was used in the past to get to the Orongo village in times of the Tangata Manu or Bird-Man ceremonial. Through the route you can find the Manavai or replica of the archaeological greenhouses, which have native species as the Toromiro or Gnaoho.
